My Monthly Memories: March

My Monthly Memories is a blogging event created by Basant She. This event is a way of keeping a collection of everything you’ve been going through, what you’ve experienced and what you’ve learned.

I know I’m late with this, but let’s just ignore that.

March was busyyyyyyy. Not just with work and school. I also sort of threw around a lot of my habits and started eating healthy and working out more. Which, not so surprisingly, makes me feel way more energized. I’m loving it and although I’m only doing distances of 5k and shorter right now, I’m thinking about signing up for a half marathon in December.

I made a new friend on one of my evening runs!

Now, I just said that I am changing some of my habits and am trying to eat healthier and more mindful, but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t any good food involved this month. I’m surprised how healthy one can eat by just choosing healthier options and knowing what you’re actually putting in your mouth. I went to a foodtruck festival with lots of different foods to choose from. I like that – trying foods from all over the world, it’s one of my favorite things to do when I’m visiting a new place as well.

Of course I still read, although not as much as I would like to. I think Stephen King’s ‘Finders Keepers’ was my favorite book of the month. It’s the second book in the Hodges series (‘Mr. Mercedes’ being he first one) and I really enjoyed both of them! This isn’t King’s usual genre, as there are no supernatural aspects in the books, which makes it even more interesting.

April is going to be just as busy, maybe even busier because it’s the month I have to finish my thesis, but I hope to squeeze in some more blogging time!

What have you been up to recenly?

  1. Congrats on your healthier lifestyle! I started running last year and I’m addicted now. You may be running short distances now but you’ll be amazed at what you can do over time if you stick with it.
